HOW TO REACH THE DEPARTMENT OF LITERATURE AND CULTURAL HERITAGE
PLANE
The nearest airport is Napoli Capodichino. ATC (https://www.atcbus.it/p/linea_aereoporto_nuovi_orari.htm). buses can be taken from there to Santa Maria Capua Vetere: tickets on board. From Roma Fiumicino and Roma Ciampino, you can reach S. Maria C. V. by Expressbus line 2 (Agropoli-Fiumicino): tickets on-line (http://www.expressbus.it/index.htm).
Local buses (Alibus) and taxi take you from Napoli Capodichino Airport to Napoli Centrale Station. Fiumicino Express is a bus line running regularly from Roma Fiumicino and Roma Ciampino to Napoli Centrale: tickets online (http://www.fiumicinoexpress.com/). From Napoli Centrale you can reach S. Maria C. V. by bus or train.
TRAIN
Trenitalia regional trains leave regularly from Napoli Centrale: it takes about 45 minutes to reach Santa Maria Capua Vetere Station. Regional trains leave also from Caserta Station and it takes 7 minutes to reach Santa Maria Capua Vetere. You can reach Napoli Centrale by train both from Roma Tiburtina and Roma Termini. You can reach Caserta by train mainly from Roma Termini.
BUS
Clp number 7 (http://www.clpbus.it/pdf/provinciale-linea7.html) and 18 (http://www.clpbus.it/pdf/provinciale-linea18.html) can be taken from Corso Meridionale, nearby Napoli Centrale, to Santa Maria Capua Vetere: Piazza San Francesco is the nearest stop. Tickets on board. At certain times, you can take Clp number 18 from Caserta Train Station to Santa Maria C. V. as well. Clp line 3 (http://www.clpbus.it/pdf/provinciale-linea3.html) and ATC bus from Capodichino (https://www.atcbus.it/p/linea_aereoporto_nuovi_orari.htm) runs from Caserta Train Stations to Santa Maria C. V. too. You can reach Santa Maria Capua Vetere also from Roma Tiburtina: Sellitto bus line Altavilla-Caserta-Tiburtina stops in Via Galatina. Tickets online: http://www.sellitto.com/index.htm.
Flixbus (https://www.flixbus.it/), Marino Autolinee (https://www.marinobus.it/), Ouibus (https://www.ouibus.com/) and Bus Center (https://buscenter.travel/) can take you to Napoli Centrale or Caserta Train Station from Roma Tiburtina.
