Contenuti | Saranno trattati i temi della tecnica costruttiva nell’antichità nel quadro dell’evoluzione architettonica romana. Il corso si articola in tematiche relative a principi di statica elementare (equilibrio delle costruzioni nei sistemi spingenti e non spingenti). Tema monografico di approfondimento interesserà in particolare l’architettura pontiera: tipologie, soluzioni tecniche e costruttive adottate in ambito greco, italico e romano, evoluzione delle tecniche, fondazioni subacquee e costruzioni in acqua, il sistema arcuato, grandi strutture centinate. |

Contents | The themes of construction technique in antiquity will be treated in the framework of Roman architectural evolution. The course is divided into topics related to the principles of elementary statics (balance of construction in pushing and non-pushing systems). In-depth monographic theme will particularly concern the architecture of the bridge: typologies, technical and constructive solutions adopted in the Greek, Italic and Roman context, evolution of the techniques, underwater foundations and construction in water, the arched system, large arched structures. |
