Course objectives | Knowledge and skills to be acquired: Based on the Dublin descriptors: 1) knowledge and understanding: in-depth knowledge of the main political, social, economic and cultural phenomena of Italy in the twentieth century, ability to connect local history, national history and history of international relations and critical understanding of the different interpretations provided by historiography and issues raised by it 2) knowledge and understanding skills applied: strengthening of the advanced skills required by the discipline that should have been acquired in the first cycle, in particular demonstrating the mastery of the knowledge and methods necessary to properly analyze and the ability to effectively present general aspects and also complex historical issues. . 3) autonomy of judgment: take into account the different interpretations on every relevant aspect of contemporary Italian history knowing how to grasp the best contributions offered by each school or current historiography . 4) communication skills: being able to describe complex problems with extreme clarity 5) ability to learn: know how to exploit the cognitive skills acquired in the first cycle to deepen in full autonomy of judgment the main issues of the history of Italy from the early twentieth century to our days |
Prerequisites | Prerequisites: understanding and scholastic knowledge of the main events and the most significant aspects of the history of Italy in the twentieth century |
Teaching methods | Expected learning activities and teaching methodologies. Frontal lessons, participation in conventions and conferences, possible visions of documentaries and historical films. |
Evaluation methods | Type of exam: Oral exam Evaluation criteria: The evaluation of the exam will be based on the degree of knowledge of the topics covered in the course and in the reference texts, the analytical skills, the clarity and the linguistic correctness of the candidate |
